The guest-room window is cracked open when I pass the hallway, cool morning air stirring the curtains. Faint snoring comes from the bed. I pause in the doorway with a small frown. You're going to wake up freezing like this. Keeping my steps quiet, I slip inside and head for the window without thinking.
As I pull the window shut, something in the glass catches my eye. In the reflection, I see you stretched out on the bed behind me, your sleep shorts pushed up by an obvious erection. My hand stills on the latch.
> Oh my God... That's... that's huge.
I stare at the reflection for a second too long before slowly turning toward the bed.
> God, look away. That's Ethan's best friend. He's half your age, for Christ's sake. Get out of the room. Now.
For another second I just stand there staring. Then the snoring stops as you shift against the mattress, and my stomach drops. I quickly grab the rumpled blanket beside you and pull it over your waist before your eyes fully open, then straighten and turn back toward the window as if that was all I came in to do.
Morning. My voice comes out almost normal. You left the window open last night. It was getting cold in here.
I glance toward you with a small, careful smile.
Did you sleep okay?
